This adorable and quirky Victorian pointing hand was cast from an original that is in my own personal collection. This one is made in solid ( not hollow ) sterling silver. The hand was oxidised and hand polished to emphasise and accentuate the subtle details of the hand and to give it an aged feel.
Victorians loved their disembodied hands and they were full of sentimental symbolism. this tiny hand is pointing downwards. Perhaps a blessing from the almighty?
The charm measures 25mm x7.5mm and weighs 2.36 grams in solid sterling silver including the bail ring.
The details of the hand are subtle yet quite realistic and this makes it very sweet yet slightly creepy ( quintessentially Victorian if you ask me ).
Detailed on both sides it is certain to be a great conversation starter and will definitely be noticed.
this little charm is also available in 9 carat gold. You can find it here:
please note that although there is more than one hand in some of the photographs this listing is for 1 sterling silver pointing hand
