This handmade lion's paw pendant was made using a Victorian original. India was the jewel in the crown of the British empire in the 1800's and people loved to wear jewellery from the far flung exotic land to show they were well connected and well travels.
Because Lions were known as the 'King of the jungle', they commanded huge respect. They symbolised courage, royalty, and power.
This pendant measures 45mm in length including the bail ring. it is solid silver and ha a weighty feel and appearance.
This pendant is made of solid sterling silver. It is flat backed, and stamped with .925 and ‘swalk’.
The pendant was oxidized and hand polished to highlight the details and give he pendant a vintage feel.
This pendant measures approx. 40mm including the bail (these are handmade and may vary slightly).
You can buy the pendant on its own or with various length chains. This choice is provided to you during the checkout process. Please see the last 2 photographs for differences between the regular chain and heavier chain.
You pendant will come wrapped in tissue in a small cotton draw string bag, which is also great for storing the piece when not in use.
