I was inspired by Victorian mourning jewellery to make this lovely sterling silver and onyx pendant and chain. The pendant is an elegant understated piece which complete any outfit... be it casual or dressy. The pendant itself measures 60mm from the top of the bail to the base of the pendant. It features a glossy black onyx which was set in a sterling setting of twisted wire and stamped silver. The pendant is hung on a 4mm belcher (rolo) chain. The chain is completely in keeping with the Victorian inspiration as it named after the boxer Jim Belcher 1781- 1811, and would have been very popular at the time as a result. You can choose the length of chain you would like in the drop down menu, but I love this piece as a longer layered look.. The back of the pendant is marked with my initials lod and .925 for the sterling silver content. Both the chain and pendant were oxidized to give the silver and more mellow ‘aged’ feel. The chain closes with a sturdy lobster clasp, also .925. The chain and pendant are of high quality and have a nice heavy feel to them that you rarely find in mass produced pieces. Any questions?
