'Mon Amour dure apres a Mort.' My love will endure after death..............
This is the impression of an antique wax letter seal. This seal was used to secure letters and correspondence in the nineteenth century. This particular seal is French and comes from the era of Charles X (1757-1836) This seal features the image of a lone bird on a branch, the text around the image states 'Mon amour dure apres a mort....... this translates to 'My love will endure after death.
This image of the bird is very appropriate as most bird species are monogamous. There are even some species such as the bald eagle, the mute swan and the common raven that mate for life.
Size....... The pendant measures approx. 14.45mm . This may alter slightly due to the fact that each one is made individually by hand.
