This pendant features the impression from an antique wax letter seal. It was cast in 100% sterling silver.
This particular seal features the image of a coat of arms or family heraldry from the nineteenth century.
This is a large version of this seal..... there is a smaller one in the shop. This wax seal pendant features a Lion in the rampant position. The lion has always held a high place in heraldry as the emblem of deathless courage, and hence, that of a valiant warrior.
It is said to be the lively image of a good soldier, who must be 'valiant in courage, strong of body, politic in council, and a foe to fear.'
Size..... This pendant measures approx. 18.8mm in diameter. This is only an approximate size however due to the handmade nature of the piece it may vary slightly.
